Thiruvambady Srikrishna Kshethram - ulsavam.

Kodiyettam, Panjavadyam, Thayambaka, Melam, Cultural programes, Aarattu on the last day and pallivetta on the previous day. It is situated one kilometer north on Shornur road from Swaraj Round in Thrissur town.

Guruvayur Ulsavam

The annual festival at the famous Sri Krishna temple at Guruvayur. Kodiyettam, Panjavadyam, Melam, Thayambaka, Cultural programmes, Aarattu on the last day and pallivetta on the previous day. Aanayottam the elephant race is held on the starting day at Guruvayur. This temple is at Thrissur district.



Kanadimadom Tharavadu - Thiramaholsavam

Two day festival at Kanadimadom Tharavadu. Main ritual is Roopakkalam. Figures of Lord Vishnu Maya and subsidairy deities are drawn on the floor using natural powders. Songs praising the Lord, special Pooja, Oracle's performmance, fire works etc. are the other highlights. The ritual art Thira is also performmed. This temple is famous for 390 Kuttichathans, the aides of Lord Vishnu Maya. Situated 20kms from Thrissur, via Cherppu, get down at Peringottukara Centre. Kodungallur - Thalapoli

Festival at Sree Kurumba Bhagavathy Temple, Kodungallur in Thrissur district. Procession with caparisoned elephants, Panchavadyam, Paandi melam etc. are performed daily two times - afternoon and after midnight. Ladies and girls carrying traditional oil lamps accompany this procession, which is called Thalappoli. Cultural programmes and fire works are other highlights. The temple is more famous for the festival Bharani to be held in April.

Cheruthuruthy Kozhimamparambu bhagavathy Kshethram - Vela.

Final day of the 14 - day festival. On this day elephant processions from six places assemble for a joint display. Folk forms like Thira and Poothan, Kala Vela are joint display is repeated in the midnight also. Tholppava Pava Koothu, literally means 'leather puppet play' is held through out the night for all these fourteen days. Cheruthuruthy, is Thrissur district; 32 km from Thrissur ; 2 kms from Shoronur Jn. railway station.
